Calculate the patio area in square feet, then divide by the area of one paver. Add 5–10% for cuts and breakage. The calculator handles unit conversions and common paver sizes.

Typically 7–9 inches total: 4–6 inches of compacted gravel base, 1 inch of sand, and the paver thickness (usually 2–3 inches). Increase base depth for driveways or areas with heavy loads.
